Heat Treated Citrine is often Amethyst that has been altered to a bright yellow Citrine crystal.  Amethyst and Citrine are both high vibrational quartz crystals with very similar properties and healing qualities.  Often with crystals from the same family it can be the color of the crystal that suggests their healing properties.
